Inspiration to help you find the perfect gift here are Mother’s Day Gift Ideas, the 2020 edition.
PSA: Dad’s, due to COVID-19 your children will not be bringing home handmade Mother’s day gifts from school this year. You have 10 days.
I saw a meme that said that the other day and couldn’t help laugh out loud. Today’s world is totally different than we’re used to but time keeps pushing on and holiday’s keep coming around.
If you haven’t yet, before you get to my Mother’s Day Gift Ideas, please jump over and read about How to Give Good Gifts. Gifts are my love language so I’m super passionate about the power they have to say “I love you.” Make sure that’s what your gift says or it will probably say something else.

Adult coloring books
I like doing creative things but most of my creativity lies in photography, in other mediums I’m totally hopeless. Adult coloring books are a super fun creative outlet that don’t actually require me to be all that creative. They’re also a great stress relief.
This Lost Ocean: An Inky Adventure was one of my first adult coloring books and I still love it. But, I found I love color-by-number puzzle coloring books even more like Querkles and Trianimals. I love that I don’t have to pick the colors because sometimes I pick horribly, so these are even more relaxing.

the adventure challenge – family edition
I LOVE the Adventure Challenge Family Edition because it’s a physical gift you can wrap up but what you’re really giving is endless family memories. The book itself is only $40, but I think it’s worth the splurge to get the camera so you can fill the journal with all the wonderful memories you’ll make together.
personalized Jewelry that represents your family
I know you’ve seen these before. When I was little my mom had a necklace with a little silver stick figure with a birthstone representing each of her kids. There are 8 of us so that was one full necklace! There are so many fun styles that do the same thing in 2020 to match any woman’s jewelry preferences and style.
I don’t like wearing necklaces or bracelets so I’d pick these stack-able rings for myself. But if necklaces are for her, these birthstone initial pendants are gorgeous! Sometimes I really wish I liked to wear necklaces.

cellphone tripod and camera remote
I LOVE this gift idea because it doesn’t leave anyone stuck behind the camera.
I recently purchased this remote and tripod for myself because I was sick of not being in any of our pictures. When I create our family yearbooks at the end of each year it always made me a little sad that there weren’t many pictures of me. How would my kids remember that I was there and truly present for the big moments of their life?
I love that the UBeesize tripod is flexible and easily adjustable for perfect pictures in absolutely any setting. Plus it works with phones and DSLR cameras! The remote is super easy to sync with your phone making it perfect for capturing precious family memories.

something for their hobbies
I know that’s super vague but not all moms have the same hobbies so you’re going to have to get a bit creative.
Maybe mom likes to do puzzles, these 1000 piece Villainous puzzles are challenging and so much fun, plus there’s one for each of your favorite Disney villains. If she really loves puzzles consider this roll-up puzzle mat for convenient storage and portability. I’d love one of these so I could work on a puzzle here a little and there a little.
Maybe mom is a gardener and this Kneeling pad would be great to protect her knees from the hard ground.
Maybe she loves Harry Potter. These illustrated box set of the first 3 books are so cool! The 4th book is also available.
Maybe she’d love to take a class to learn a knew skill within her hobby.
Whatever her thing is, you can’t go wrong getting her something related to her hobbies.

A Family Photo Session
Want to know mom’s biggest hang-up about family pictures? Family support. She knows it’s not your favorite thing and wrangling all the kids can be a hassle, but I promise she wants professional family pictures. Be supportive, show her you’re on board, and surprise her beyond belief by giving her a family photo session.
Most photographers offer gift cards, purchase one from your wife’s favorite local photographer, and wrap it up with a photo frame. If you’re not sure who her favorite local photographers are, steal her phone and see who she’s following on Instagram.
You will get major brownie points for this one.

little luxuries
Finally, great Mother’s day gifts are all those little luxuries you know she’d love to splurge on. You know, delicious 3-wick candles from Bath & Body Works (I LOVE their aromatherapy line, Eucalyptus Spearmint is my favorite!), the same delicious smelling soap, the perfect cozy blanket, a manicure, pedicure, or even a massage.
Maybe to her its a major luxury to have someone else cook dinner. Whatever is luxurious for her would make a great mother’s day gift.

I hope this list will help you find the perfect mother’s day gift but remember, the perfect gift is personal, thoughtful, and surprising. If the mom you’re shopping for is a lot like me, these ideas would be great! But maybe she’s my exact opposite. Either way I hope you find inspiration to help you find the perfect gift that screams “I LOVE AND APPRECIATE YOU!” this Mother’s Day.
