GET FEATURED

Here at TMND we are passionate about sharing stories of motherhood. We believe that mom-guilt ends when we stop comparing and begin understanding. We believe sharing stories of motherhood will help all of us give ourselves more grace and find greater joy in motherhood every day.

We love to feature stories about or relating to motherhood, it’s unique challenges, triumphs and everything in between. We believe that every mom has a story to tell; that YOU have a story to tell. And we believe your story has the power to lift and empower other women and mothers. We would be honored if you would share your story with our community.

As you read through these submission guidelines, if you feel like you have a story but aren’t sure how to tell it, don’t worry! We’ve got your back and will help you every step of the way. This submission is not a final draft, we’ll work on that together once you’re selected to be featured.

We feature moms in three categories:

1. Awesome Moms

If you’re reading this, YOU ARE AWESOME! No really! You are! No matter how “normal” you think you, your family, and your life are you have a unique story and this is an invitation you to share.

“Everyone has a history. What you do with it is up to you. Some repeat it. Some learn from it. The really special ones use it to help others.” – JM Green

We hope you’ll be brave enough to share your story with our community because we know it has the power to lift others and help them traverse whatever phase of life they’re currently struggling through.

If you need help getting started feel free to visit our OWN YOUR STORY resource. This is not a comprehensive list of questions or topics but we hope it will help you identify your story and tell it.

2. Mompreneurs

mom·pre·neur /mämprəˈnər/
noun | informal
a woman who sets up and runs her own business in addition to caring for her young child or children.

One of the stories we love to tell at TMND is mom’s chasing their dreams at home and in business, we can’t help it, it’s our story.

Mompreneur submissions should emphasize the story of your business, why you make/do/sell what you do and how it coincides with your motherhood journey.

If you need help getting started feel free to visit our OWN YOUR STORY resource. This is not a comprehensive list of questions or topics but we hope it will help you identify your story and tell it.

3. Photographers

We are excited to offer Photographers a place to publish family, motherhood, birth, newborn, and day in the life sessions that celebrate joy in motherhood.

To accompany your submission please do one of the following:

1. Work with your client to help tell their stories through your images and their words. Use our OWN YOUR STORY resource to help your clients tell their story.

Possible examples include:

– A family session coupled with the mother’s story as written by the mother.

– Birth photography submitted with the mothers fertility journey.

– A day in the life session submitted with the mother’s thoughts on the day to day struggles and triumphs that are motherhood.

OR

2. A guest post submission written with our mom readers in mind related to the images your submitting

Possible examples include:

– A family session with “how to style family pictures.”

– A maternity session with “5 reasons every expecting mama deserves a maternity session”

– A birth story with “What to pack in your hospital bag for birth photography.”

If you would prefer to share your mompreneur story feel free to submit using the guidelines above.
